The Museum of the Great Plains began offering digital print services in 2005 to provide patrons with quality reproductions of material from our collections. There is a $15.00 fee for scanning two-dimensional items up to 8.5" x 14". Electronic scanning of photographs and other materials in the Library and Archives will be reproduced consistent with the characteristics of the original. When ordering a scan, please indicate the desired resolution (300 or 600 dpi) and delivery method. The options for delivery are as follows: E-mail .............. no charge Files under 5 MB can be e-mailed directly to the patron unless otherwise specified. The fees charged for photographic images from a collection do not in any way constitute sale of the picture, but are merely fees charged for obtaining copies in lieu of using the original print or transparency. The Museum of the Great Plains retains all rights to the photographic materials on file in its Archives. All negatives and transparencies are retained in the collections. Permission will be granted upon request for one time non-exclusive use of images for publications, exhibitions, or other purposes if the proposed use is specified. The Museum requires a $25.00 use fee for each image. Any subsequent use of an image will require the permission of the Museum. MGP requires advance payment for all photographic services. |
